FairValueAnchor

Terms of Service

Effective October 18, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and FairValueAnchor ("we", "us") about your use of FairValueAnchor. By using FairValueAnchor you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

FairValueAnchor is not investment advice. It presents and calculates figures from companies' public filings for information and education. Nothing on it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and it doesn't take your circumstances into account. We aren't a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. Make your own decisions, and consider talking to a qualified professional.

1. What FairValueAnchor is

FairValueAnchor reads companies' filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other public sources, and presents financial history, ratios, valuation estimates and screens built from them.

2. The figures can be wrong

We work hard on accuracy, but the data comes from third parties and goes through automated extraction and calculation. Filings get restated, companies tag the same line differently, sources go stale, and our own methods can be wrong. Figures may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect, and estimates such as valuations rest on assumptions that may not hold. Check anything that matters against the company's own filings, which we link wherever we can, before relying on it.

3. Your account

You can use much of FairValueAnchor without an account. To subscribe, you sign in with an email address you control (directly or through Google). Keep access to that address secure: whoever controls it controls your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Plans and payment

Free. Up to 5 company lookups a day, the most recent 5 years of history, and ads. Reopening a company you've already looked up that day doesn't count again.

Pro, $15/month. Unlimited lookups, the full 15-year history, and no ads.

5. Using FairValueAnchor fairly

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close a Pro account for a serious breach, no refund is due.

6. Content and ownership

The underlying public filings belong to the companies and are public records. FairValueAnchor's software, design and analysis are ours. You may use what you see for your own research, including quoting individual figures with attribution, but not as described in section 5.

7. Other services

Payments are handled by Stripe and Google sign-in by Google, under their own terms. FairValueAnchor links to and draws from third-party sources we don't control and aren't responsible for.

8. Ending this agreement

You can stop using FairValueAnchor and ask us to delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end FairValueAnchor, or your access to it, for a breach of these terms, or if we stop offering it. If we stop offering Pro altogether, we'll refund the unused part of your current paid period.

9. No warranties

FairValueAnchor is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any investment or trading losses, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of FairValueAnchor or reliance on its figures. Our total liability for any claim relating to FairValueAnchor is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you on the site before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using FairValueAnchor after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This doesn't take away any protection the consumer laws of the place you live give you.
